Eemax was established in 1988 with a line of tankless water heaters for commercial applications ranging in size from .5gpm to about 1.5gpm. The original Eemax technology was patented and quickly emerged as themost flexible technology on the market. These products are designed for commercial and industrial applications from 6 to 25+ gpm. Eemax was purchased by the private equity firm Riverside, in 2008. Giving Eemax the capability to expand its product breadth and hold on the marketplace. In 2010 Eemax came out with a ASSE 1070 approved electric tankless water heater called Accumix. This products is designed to Turnkey Solution Heater with Code Compliant Integrated Mixing Valve Designed specifically to meet UPC 413.1 code requirements for hand washing single and multi-lav applications.2012 marked an expansion for Eemax as the company moved to Waterbury CT. The new location was doublein size at about 35,000 square feet. In 2013 Eemax merges with the retail manufacturer Ecosmart.
